National Deworming day

On the occasion of National Deworming Day, faculty members of our department actively participated in distributing deworming tablets to students.

Program Highlights:

  • Faculty explained the importance of deworming.

  • Students were educated about hygiene practices.

  • Albendazole tablets (400 mg) were distributed.

  • Tablets were administered under supervision.

  • Students were informed about mild side effects (if any).

The session was interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions about health and hygiene.

About the Tablet Given

The tablet administered was Albendazole (400 mg), recommended by the Government of India.

Albendazole works by:

  • Killing parasitic worms in the intestine

  • Preventing further spread of infection

  • Improving nutrient absorption in the body

It is:

  • Safe

  • WHO recommended

  • Given under medical guidelines

Awareness Session Conducted

Along with tablet distribution, an awareness session was conducted covering:

  • Importance of handwashing with soap

  • Drinking clean and safe water

  • Maintaining personal hygiene

  • Wearing footwear

  • Keeping surroundings clean

Students were encouraged to adopt healthy habits in daily life.
