Two-Day Workshop on Android Programming & Career Guidance
A two-day workshop was successfully conducted by our 18th batch seniors, focusing on Android programming, basics of Kotlin, and career guidance after diploma. The workshop was very informative, inspiring, and useful for students who are interested in software and IT careers.
Technical Sessions
During the workshop, seniors explained:
Introduction to Android Programming
Basics of Kotlin language
How Android applications work
Importance of logic building and problem solving
Basics of DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) and why students should start early.
The sessions were explained in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, making it helpful even for beginners.
Career Guidance & Life Decisions
One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was the discussion on life after diploma. Seniors shared their real-life experiences and guided us on:
Different career paths after diploma
Overview of IT companies and work culture
Skills required to enter the IT industry
Importance of continuous learning
How to plan our future step by step
They also encouraged students to start something early, like coding practice, DSA, or learning new technologies, instead of waiting for opportunities.
Problem Solving & Motivation
The workshop emphasized the importance of:
Logical thinking
Problem-solving skills
Consistency and discipline in learning
The seniors motivated us to believe in ourselves and stay focused on our goals.
Fun Activities & Quiz

Games and quizzes were conducted using Slido
Students actively participated
Day 2:
On Day 2 of the Android Programming & Career Guidance Workshop, the session received an added boost with the participation of senior G. Vishwanath (17th batch), who brought fresh energy and advanced insights. He demonstrated how to develop a real application using Kotlin, including practical coding techniques and design principles. Vishwanath also explained how to connect the app with MongoDB, showing setup tips such as keeping database fields like user ID and name in a separate file for better structure. Additionally, he shared valuable information on configuring Aiven DB and managing cloud‑based database connections, enriching the learning experience. His expert guidance inspired the participants and helped deepen their understanding of modern app development beyond basic concepts.
